Per SB 277, the law allows parents/guardians of children with medical conditions, to be exempt to vaccinations with a physician's written statement including: the physical condition or medical circumstances of the child, which vaccines are exempted, whether the medical exemption is permanent or temporary, and expiration date of exemption when applicable. Schools maintain an up-to-date list of pupils with exemptions, so they can be excluded quickly if an outbreak occurs.
