Ever since I was in second grade, I always dreamed about becoming an elementary school teacher, so I am excited to be back for my thirteenth year at Covington Elementary School. As a former kindergarten teacher and now a first grade teacher, I absolutely love helping our youngest learners grow! Their natural enthusiasm for learning and compassion for others make me smile every day and give me so much hope for the future. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with Minors in Education Studies and History from UC San Diego, as well as a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Education from Santa Clara University. Along with my passion for teaching, I also love traveling, reading, baking, and doing yoga! From tapas in Spain, to camel rides in Morocco, to fish markets in Japan, I absolutely love experiencing new cultures. With this in mind, I look forward to helping our first graders realize that they are a part of a world where differences should be celebrated!
